Propaganda time!

Photo from my flickr account

The right wing in Japan is a little bit scary. They have these black vans that drive around, playing nationalist speeches and traditional Japanese music on loudspeakers. The music can sometimes be heard from up to two or three blocks away.

I wonder if it's an effective political tactic?

Hi dear; Keeping track of all your new things. Must be good to have a bed of your own. Love from Aunt Merle in Victoria.

I know there was a place called Propaganda Village just on the North border of the DMZ in Korea. It blared propaganda 24 hours a day for something like a decade in the hopes that the nearby South Korean farmers would defect.

That is intense! I wonder what the success rate of that is.
